Serving Up Clutch Tennis returns for 2021 with a special podcast and article focussing on the year ahead in tennis.
Following on from a very heavily interrupted 2020 campaign due to COVID-19 causing enforced breaks across all of world sport, this years season is bound to be a rollercoaster with many question marks surrounding tournament structures, player performances and motivation still remaining unanswered.
In this article the Serving Up Clutch tennis team hope to clear up some of the ‘mystery’ surrounding the upcoming season, and give you some predictions for the year ahead. Between myself (Charlie), Luke and Jack (our podcast team), we have each predicted how the top 10 will look at the year end, a slam winner for all 4 grand slam events, the Olympic Games winner, a new ‘first-time titlist’ and a wildcard selection.
Despite the primary aim of this article being to aid you in selecting players for end of year ranking bets, or accumulators throughout the year, we also have a ‘friendly’ competition amongst the Serving Up Clutch tennis team, which will be score our predictions on the following scale:
Correct top 10 player pick: 1 point
Correct top 10 player pick in the correct position: 3 points
Correct grand slam winner/olympic games winner: 2 points
Correct first time titlist: 3 points
Correct wildcard: 5 points
